About the Program:

The program involves 12 months graduate-level course work and a practicum. A team of 32 faculty members are involved including 4 leading instructors, and 4 advising experts from the United States to help develop the next generation of researchers to carry out high quality and ethically acceptable research. The Project is led by the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in collaboration with Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). The 1–year program involves 16 units that are obtained by a 1 week intensive face-to-face course in Jordan, three online courses each 10 weeks long, and a summer practicum. Finishing these 16 units entitles the graduate to the University of California San Diego Fellow Graduate Certificate in Research Ethics. The certificate is offered free to the selected candidates. Approximately 30 graduates are expected per year. Funding support is provided to carry out the practicum and other research activities.
